Honda Unveils ZR-V Hybrid SUV for India as Limited-Run CBU Import Alongside City Facelift
Honda Cars India has unveiled the ZR-V hybrid SUV alongside the City facelift. The flagship CBU import features a 2.0-litre strong hybrid engine, premium interiors, advanced safety systems, and modern design. Pre-bookings open ahead of July 2026 deliveries with limited availability.
The Honda ZR-V breaks away from the conventional boxy SUV design language, adopting a smoother and more rounded exterior profile. At the front, it features sleek LED headlamps integrated with L-shaped daytime running lights, paired with a black vertical-slat grille. The front bumper incorporates functional air vents on both sides and a blacked-out lower section.
From the side, the SUV is fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels and prominent wheel arches that reinforce its road presence. The rear design continues the sharp styling theme, featuring distinctive taillamps and a black-finished bumper with dual exhaust outlets accented by silver trim. A roof-mounted spoiler and rear windshield wiper complete the exterior design. The SUV measures 4,576 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, and 1,621 mm in height.
Inside, the Honda ZR-V Hybrid offers a minimalist cabin layout featuring a dual-screen setup. This includes a 9-inch infotainment display with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, alongside a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
The feature list includes dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless smartphone charger, and a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system. The cabin is equipped with leatherette upholstery, with armrests provided for both front and rear passengers. Comfort features extend to an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and a 4-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, along with a powered tailgate and ambient lighting.
The centre console is designed with physical gear selector buttons and an electronic parking brake, ensuring a clean and modern layout. Safety equipment includes eight airbags, Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a 360-degree camera.
Under the hood, the India-spec Honda ZR-V Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with a dual-motor strong hybrid system. The combined output stands at 184 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque, delivered through an e-CVT transmission to the front wheels. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in approximately 8 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 172 kmph. It also claims a fuel efficiency figure of 22.79 kmpl.
The introduction of the Honda ZR-V as a limited-volume hybrid CBU import underscores Honda’s strategy to strengthen its premium SUV portfolio in India. With advanced hybrid technology, high-end features, and a strong safety suite, the model is positioned as a niche offering aimed at buyers seeking exclusivity and electrified performance in the premium SUV segment.
